This is from my post-doc’s facebook post.  She’s about 40, from Korea, and is very motherly (at least towards me).  I read this in her Korean accented voice, and it made me sad.

The Day

A few days ago, I got a text from a friend in the morning, which was about her father’s death. She wrote she was on the way to the hospital her father has been. And a couple of minutes later I got another text from my brother. His new baby was just born. The day was not the day doctor calculated for, but it happened. Somebody went away and somebody was born.

Maybe it is life. Hmm… These days many things in sudden hit me and I was confused for the first time. Now I am getting fine a little by little and can be cool against those things. I sould be getting old/grown. That is sad.
